Rear Speakers

How far up the wall should rear speakers be placed ?....and should they be behind me or alongside me....Same with dipoles (such as BW DS3) should they be behind me or alongside me..and again if at the sides how far up the wall should they be...The above are for movie listening only (i dont like music in 5.1 or 7.1..i'm a dedicated 2.0 listener when it comes too music)... Also can a dipole be used as a rear centre speaker ? Is it 'silly' to have three dipoles along the back wall ?
