playing a different audio source in combination with the selected video component on an av receiver

I’m currently in the market for a new av receiver that’s hdmi compatible and I am seriously considering the denon avr-3311. However I am really struggling to find a unit that has a very useful feature which was indispensable on my 10 year old tried and tested sony strdb-940. the sony allowed one to view one video input whilst listening to audio from another input. For example one could enjoy sky news on the tv monitor whilst listening to music from a cd player connected to the cd input all in the same zone. I play visual images often from a media streamer and these have no audio so it is handy to accompany these visuals with music from a different source. Can anyone shed any light on this issue and let me know if there are av receivers that can do this today.
