Hi All,

Why can't I get the DD from the movies on  TV? I have connect the BT VIsion via HDMI to the KDL W4000 then from it back to the Amp via Optical cable BUT no DD just Pro Logic. Thanks for any advice.

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure they're not broadcast with a DD soundtrack. So it's plain old stereo I'm afraid.

I have my BT Vision connected straight to my A/V amp via HDMI, and it's still the same. I think you only get a proper audio track if you rent HD films via PPV.

It won't get you surround, but you might get better sound from the BT Vision box if you connected its digital output direct to your amp, rather than going through the TV. It might even give a cleaner signal for the Pro-Logic processing to work on.

And as for surround, BT says:
"At the moment BT Vision only supplies stereo sound. However, we are
continually working to improve our audio technology, and hope in the
future to support more advanced features like surround sound."

That old chestnut.

We live in hope as that may make me leave Virgin...if they don't do it first, of course.
