Hi everyone. I just want to know if adding a high-level lead on this kind of sub will augment the bass of my system. Currently, I only have the low level lead connected to my av receiver. Is it possible for me to use both high and low level connections at the same time without damaging my receiver? I have an onkyo tx-sr606 with Mordaunt short Avant 908i floorstanding speakers. Cheers!

High Level and Low Level inputs in subwoofers

Hi again. I think I need to revise my query. Does anyone know about the high-level and the low-level inputs at the back of a subwoofer? My subwoofer (MJ Acoustics Pro 50 MKII) has 2 crossovers: high and low level connections. I understand that the low level connection (using the av receiver's sub-out) is good only for movies which is the one I have right now. I am planning to buy a high level cable to connect it to the left and right channels of my front speakers to boost the bass of my subwoofer in stereo mode. Can I connect both the high level and the low level cables simultaneously into my Onkyo tx-sr606 av receiver? Thanks a lot and hope to get some reply this time.

I have a yamaha rx v371 and am wondering the same thing? Also what determines if it will be ok or not?
