Capt - I think you are missing the point somewhat? I think we are giving ideas of well partnered kit. No argument. Just that we have found kit that we are satisfied with.

So what is your point?
This is my dad's when he had the Pioneer Vsx-lx70 with the B&W XT speakers, and the Pioneer 427xd TV. He has always been happy with it, but it would probably sound better with a Yamaha amp, so we did a swap of amps and now he has my Sc-LX81 Pioneer amp and I have his LX70 amp. The Lx81 gives he XT speakers more control and has a better suited sound than the LX70 amp did.
Very happy with mine for both movies and music. See signature.

Yep, it definitely is, and holds loads of Blu-rays.
