I have just ordered an Onkyo 505 and the new Toshida sd-470 for my new basic home cinema setup. I have a number of speakers from an old setup I had - a pair of Monitor Audio Bronze B2s, 2  Mission 73 shelf speakers, and a Kef 80C centre. I'd welcome opinions on the merits of using some of these speakers as the basis for my new setup, or should I just go with a new set of speakers ?. My budget is around the £200 - £250 mark

Can't help feeling the speakers are pretty well mismatched - L/R, centre and rears from three separate brands. But given your budget I'd stick with what you've got and get used to the new receiver and player, and save up for some better speakers.

The obvious route to go would be Bronze BR2s and a Bronze BRLCR for the front three, and use your current B2s for the rear channels, but that would still come to around £330, and it would be sensible to also budget for a subwoofer - the matching BRW10 is about £350.

Hi Andrew, what do you think to the RS6 speakers to go with the Onkyo 905?
