Help i dont have a clue

what i am looking at doing is setting up a home cinema system that can do blu ray the problem is my front room is 26ft long which means running cable soon becomes a pain. im not to sure what equipment to get so far i have looked at the EOLE 2 speakers and they look really nice as well as sound great as well. i have 3 kids so having large floor standing speakers would not be ideal but i can if it would be better. i dont want to go to a shop and get sold something that is not going to do the job and at the same time cost the earth i would have to get the system a bit at a time as budget would let but have about £1000 to use at the moment any help would be great
