GS10 Crossover

I've just swapped my Gs10s into my HC (today). Not watched any films yet so can't comment on that.
The whole thing about Crossover, Hz, Khz is beyond me. I've changed the front speakers to Small and the crossover to 60 hz. It sounding quite good but don't know why I did it. What Crossover should I be using.
Small sounds better than Large so far, but I'll have to see if I can have a proper tinker at the weekend.
