Can we have a debate please what do people think will be a better speaker system overall I apprecaite you may say it depends what  AV amp you choose but pound for pound what speaker do you believe will be better value for a cinema system

Cool ok I am a sucker for the Pioneer-sc-lx86 - but again i dont  believe it should be that much of a difference I would prefer buying an amp to partner the speakers than vice versa

I'd be surprised if the Kef's weren't better all rounders, but you're comparing Apples & Oranges (kind of). The M1 satellites are designed to be wall mounted, whereas the R100s require stands and a bit of free space to work their best.

I have the previous incarnation of the MT-60D, the MT-30, in 7.1 configuration, and I'm very happy with the results, and there was no way on earth I'd be able to fit 3 pairs of standmounts in my room (already using large standmounts for my hi-fi anyway... With the sub I have 10 separate speakers in my lounge!), so it was style speakers or nothing.

My guess would be that since you're considering them, you don't have the space limitations I have, in which case, I'd go for the Kefs.
