blues brothers for music and commando and the end of king kong for action.these are my test discs
Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol It has some if the most convincing surround soubd I've heard.
+1 for tron legacy (especially the fight scene in the club)
And there's always The Matrix (the lobby gun fight in particular)
Or the opening car chase from Quantum of Solace - if that engine noise doesn't make you want an Aston Martin then nothing will!
Plus either of the Kill Bill films (both have an outstanding soundtrack)
Train crash in Super 8.
Parts of Band of Brothers if you are into bullets etc flying around the lounge.
Just been watching some of The Pacific and the way the thunder rolls around the room is really lifelike.
+1 for Quantum of Solace - the car chase at the begining.
Also +1 for Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol - in the sand storm - the sand was swirling around my room - I thought I would have to clean it up afterwards!
Rega Brio 2000 - Apollo - RS5

I'll see your Aston Martin & raise you the Chevy from 'Jack Reacher' (A late '60s Chevelle SS IIRC).
If the sound at the cinema is anything to go by, this could be the best sounding car in home movie history!

Please tell me it didn't get smashed up!
All good suggestions, add Spiderman 3 and the fisrt Goblin fight with Parker, amazing for detail.
Dragonslayer (1981)...Hands down one of the best surround sound movies EVER!...my personal fave!
Tom cruise version of war of th worlds, a real bass rattler. Tested my new amp with it the other day and the neighbours were downstairs to complain.
Anthem 710 : Marantz UD7007 : Apex A40 (5) : Seismic 110 : Panasonic 65VT65
How are you finding the MRX 710?
Btw, try Halo 4 Forward Unto Dawn. From 48 minutes on and until the end of the film an absolutely crazy soundtrack   We had Halo 4 Forward Unto Dawn on in the AV Tech Solutions/JL Audio room in the Bristol Show this year (partly using an MRX 710) and all hell broke loose
All the best

It's a truly wonderful sound for movies. More bold than the Yamaha 2020 it replaced. I'm delighted so far. Thanks for the tip.
Car chases: Quantum of Solace, Bullit, Transporter 1-3 Fast & Furious Franchise
Good Films Last Samurai and Kingdom of Heaven both have good plots and acting and the battle scenes are amazing.
