Both the Kill Bill films are often overlooked, but have great picture and magnificent sound quality.

V.true.

The vocals in Kill Bill 2 are particularly impressive.

Yes agreed :

The fidelity of Promethius is just as good too.

Hi Sliced Bread

Promethius - don't get me started. I'd rather listen to Tron Biggrin

Its anything but lumpy I think - good test of bass setup / integration.

The JL Audios shouldnt be sounding lumpy Rick mate Smile - lot of pulsing bass, desogned to throb you - bike scene, amazing bass effects sound like there is actually ship above you when he first goes into the Grid - just from 5.1 no speakers up high for me.

I need to test this out on my new processor.

Hi ellisdj

The JL Audio subs are sounding damn fine smiley

Anyway, good to hear about your new processor smiley You Meridian freak Biggrin At the moment i am dialling our new Arcam AV950 AV Processor to a Fathom f212 and a pair of stacked E-112 subs. So far so good smiley

I feel obliged to comment on

I feel obliged to comment on this

Just had Tron on for the first time since new processor & front speakers - therefore needed to do a new setup.

i.e. measure speakers responses in REW - do its EQ and then do my own tweaks / reductions and integrate the speaker and sub.

There is absoluetly nothing lumpy about the Tron sound track in anyway shape or form.

Its actually from a bass point of view and the vast majority of the rest Nothing short of Epic.

There is occaisonal vocal which doesnt sound right  - I dont think they have made the whole vocal sound track as flawless as a lot of the film - however the bass is spectacular for the most part if not all of the film

If one thing Disney do great - its sound tracks - even the kids programmes on TV have excellent sound

Best Bluray discs

My most watched are: Last Samurai, Kingdom of Heaven and Quigley Down Under

I also love Quantum Of Solace, all the Transporter and Fast & Furious films, Hot Fuzz and the Transformers movies.

Best wishes

Hi ellisdj

Not really. The Lone Ranger being an example. Excellent picture quality but with all the money they spent on this movie a soundtrack which is flatter than a pancake sad I'd rather listen to Prometheus Biggrin

That's just one Disney/Buena Vista film. Though I haven't seen The Lone Ranger so I'm not saying you are worng Rick. I find most  Disney and Buena Vista films sound pretty sweet.
