Hi All,

I want a new AV and set of speakers and have roughly £1k to use. I will be using this for home cinema (using a samsung 3D Blu-Ray player BD-C6900), but also want decent hi-fi sound from it. I stream music via Apple TV (HDMI into the AV) a lot, so hi-fi sound is quite important.

I've been told the following AV is good (given the budget) for swiching to stereo as well as surround sound. And have also be told the following speakers will be decent for both stereo and 5.1.

Yamaha RXV671 AV receiver

Cambridge audio S70 floorstanding speakers (front)

Cambridge audio S50 centre speaker

Cambridge audio standmount speakers (rear)

Cambridge audio S90 sub

Can anyone advise on these for the budget? would you recommend them, or have a better idea.

I'm currently running a Sony STR-HD810 AV and Tannoy SFX5.1. I'm happy with the surround sound, but left disappointed with hi-fi. I dont have the money or space to have a seperate hi-fi amp and speakers.

Thanks
