Excuse the direct questions and lack of pre-amble but . . .

1 a) how can I tell what firmware version is running on my blu-ray player?

1 b) how do i get the latest firmware uploaded?  Do I have to plug the blu-ray player into my ethernet connection somehow (thats currently upstairs connected to my mac.  I dont have ethernet downstairs).

 2) I understand its usually beneficial to have the blu-ray player upscale dvd's, rather than the amp or the tv.  I can see the setting for it on the blu-ray player (and thats set to upscale) but not on the amp or the tv.  How do I turn these off (or find them)?

3) what are next weeks winning lottery numbers?

go to pioneers european website and follw the instructions to burn the frimware update to a cd. the website instructions also tell you how to check which version your player is running. Your pc will need to have winzip downloaded first.
