Hello,

I've just splashed out on one of the new Philips' (37PFL9632D). I know, I know, silly me for not waiting for WHF review - but the spec list and a shop visit completely bowled me over. The slight catch is that my room is quite small - arguably too small for a 37", but fingers crossed for not getting square eyes!!

I'd like some advice on a home theatre system. I've thought about a seperate system with the WHF winners Sony STR-DA1200 and Wharfedale 9 HCP but given the size of the room this seems a waste of money really - and I have a good hifi seperates system downstairs. Given the WHF awards this month i've thought about the Sony DAV-IS10, but I want to experience the 1080p aspect of my new telly. Can anyone give me any suggestions that aren't budget blowing. Most of the award winners only appear to upscale to 1080i?

Andy, Clare, anyone...?

Thanks!

On a set that size, the different between 1080i and 1080p is near-enough meaningless anyway, so don't fret. The Sony DAV-IS10 would be ideal.

Ahh, I was curious about that! That's excellent news, thank you for the reply Clare.
