Yamaha RX-V373 + Monitor Audio Bronze BX2 good idea??

Hello hifi enthousiasts,

Iam completely new to the world of hifi. Ive been reading the best buys and was wondering if the items as mentioned in the topic title are a good match? Ive read somewhere that some receivers are better than others with a set of speakers. Or if there are better options?

If I expand later with another pair of  Monitor Audio Bronze BX2 will that give me even better sound or should i go directly with a 5.1 speaker kit?
