I saw the heading and thought you had problems flushing the toilet.

I think it's a toss up between the Rega Planar 3 and the Castle Howards.

Oh EDITED I just bought the castle howards! The rega planar 3 is on the other hand the oldest item in my system, though it has had the full works dine in it by SRM-Tech. I think it needs a better cartidge. So what speakers would justify the rest of it? Lol jjbomber by the way Smile

The Howards a lovely speaker... I thought perhaps the CDP or tuner amp.

What's your budget?

Do you like a warm lush sound, or more neutral?

Mac

Speakers, amp, CD player etc are all fine, a really good system. The only thing I'd look at would be the Planar, which really need wall shelves.

Don't know the SRM-tech, thing, though.

P.S Speakers are really good, full, rich sound. Only change them if that's not to your taste. Detail rules today.

The Howard S2s are great speakers.  Don't change them in a hurry.

I wouldn't rush to change anything to be honest.  You have a great system there.  Maybe a new cartridge for your Planar 3 and, as altruistic.lemon suggests, a proper wall support for it.

Is there anything you particularly find lacking about the sound of your set-up?  If not, leave well alone.

Thank you for your comments! Phew.

Yep the rega's already on a wall shelf so I'm just do the cartridge and a DAB tuner and relax for a bit!
