Hi i am Using a B&W 683 and i think there is a decent amount of vocals coming out of the tweeter of my B&W 683... The sound has changed a bit...
Stereo : Bowers and Wilkins 683, Arcam A - 19 Integrated Stereo,Cyrus CD 6 SE,Chord Chameleon VEE3 RCA Inerconnect, Chord Carnival Silver Screen,Sony Bravia X350 46" Home Theature : onkyo TX - 709 AV Multichanel, Bose Acoustimas 10, Pioneer BDP - 450, SONY 55'' HX 925 Monolithic,Sky HD+ DVR.
I'm not entirely suprised...
Call the dealer you bought them from and arrange for some new tweeters.
Marantz M-CR603 • Rega R3 loudspeakers • AirPlay • Apple iPad Mini • Apple iPhone 5 • Apple iMac • Apple AirPort Extreme 802.11N • Humax HDR-Fox T2 • Panasonic TX-L32D25B • Sony BDP-S390
What could be the issue... how can a couple of damaged tweeters produce mid a bit... or is it to do with the crossover... Also would like to highlight i auditioned the same speakers on Onkyo 110 w and the crackling sound was not there at high volumes... but again would say that tweeters making the sound sharp is an issue... highlighted with most recordings and when i place my ears close to a tweeter i can hear the lyrics of the tweeter clearly...
You said that both speakers and amp are new. Consult your dealer.
(And please decide which thread you want answered. Fed up with having to answer both.)
