It seems to be on hold until they can do a run of 50, which they think will sell......so it's not discontinued, but you can't get hold of one either - That was what Neuphonix was told when he inquired.

Don't want to doubt of what was told... But when I ordered mine they made me wait almost 2 months so had more the feeling they make them on demand...as I think it doesn't take 2 month's to ship one over.....

That is good to know...........maybe they have a different overseas sales policy for outside Europe.......who knows.

Does the AMS 35i have some felt pads under their feet?

It's too heavy to lift out and look, but they have a "felt-like" feel to them.

Thanks Cno..im just a bit curious about the felt pad but when I peep it was really felt pads sitting in the middle of each feet.

Hi Guys,

 I was able to grab the ams35 to my home for an audition driving 1028be. Love this amp!!! Very smooth, high resolution sound and great bass control.  

 Problem is in my country retail price is around $15k... probably I can grab the demo unit for $10k (after traiding in my m6i). I have a much better deal however for the Luxman 590AX, which is also a class-a amp. Have anyone compaired  between the MF AMS35i and the Luxman?

I really like to join your club...however seems like price around here is too high.

Hi Mute and welcome to the forum, and hopefully the exclusive 35 Club.........to which a Luxman will also give you honorary membership. 

I'm afraid I have not compared these two amps so can't help.

MF don't sell a lot of these amps, so bargain hard.

Be warned, this amp has a way of getting under your skin and becoming addictive.

If you are able to get hold of an Accuphase

E550 Class A, would also be worth a listen.

 I live in Tel-Aviv, they tax us like crazy around here... Heard about the Accuphase but it should cost more or less the same as the MF.

 Anyway tomorrow I should probably teturn the demo unit to the dealer, and begin two negotiation sessions, with the dealer about the price and with my wife to allow me buying the amp...

 Indeed addictive staff. If the Luxman will give me a golden ticket to your club, I may go for it, but to be at the decision making forum , I will try getting the MF first. I could not believe it controlled the 1028be better than the 200w m6i, which sounds ok too, but the ams takes the sound sideways converting my focal to B&W-like sound

Though it pains me to say it, I would  probably get the Luxman if its a lot cheaper, as it will also sound wonderful.
