Find a better hiding place!

Please refer to rule Number 2 in my original post.
In reality, adding just means you generally don't use the older inferior one, so in effect replaces it.....so it's a loophole that can be taken advantage of!
There is always a loophole.
Count me in then, as I just keep adding boxes, as I can't bring myself to let anything go.....as it might come in handy or be used elsewhere in the house.
I had not felt eligable for entry as i know despite my best intentions I will never really be able to meet such strict criteria.
However now that I know there are loopholes........
I do enjoy listening to music, surely thats got to count for something?
MF AMS-Primo / MF AMS-35P / Linn Akurate DS / Kef Reference 205/2 / Krix Epicentrix / Focal Dome 2 / JL Audio Fathom F110 & F112 / Yamaha RX-Z7 / Oppo Nuforce BDP-93 / PS3
Yours got blown up....which should give you the "count for something" free pass.
If anyone wants a new piece of hifi equipment they could just break their old hifi.
That way they can buy new equipment without breaking the rules of this club.
PC > AVI Neutron Five 2.1
Sony NWZ-A847 64GB Walkman > Westone UM3x
nobody would be mad enough to break their equipment just to buy new kit , would they?
Do I qualify? My turntable is over 25 years old and still working very well, especially with some of my 60s to 80s vinyl playing on it.
I'd look at point No.3.
Get a replacement for the Ortofon 3M Red ........... as you know one day you are going to do it, and re-apply?

I'm new here, can I join? This is my kit, very old and to your standards, no longer probably classed as HI-Fi.
Amp. Denon PMA-520. 70W per channel into 8 ohms.
Tuner. Sony ST-SE520. FM RDS EON.
CD player. Sony CDP-579
Mini-Disc recorder. Sony MDS-JE530
Speakers. B&W DM6. (Known as “Pregnant Penguins”).
The speakers I have overhauled. All crossover capacitors have been replaced and as my hearing is starting to loose the high frequencies, I replaced the original tweeters with ribbon tweeters to lift the top frequencies.
firstly welcome to the forum, nice to see someone using a mini disc and some trusty kit . Your even adapting your kit to new listening situation. Very inventive
You're killing me Cno...!
Rega RP3 / Goldring 1012gx > Rega Fono MM V2
Synology DS213 > QED Performance USB > Rega DAC > QED Performance RCA
Pathos Classic One > Inakustik LS 1102 cable > Dynaudio Excite X12 and some times BK XLS200 MK II
SBT > G&BL teflon line RCA > NAD 3020i > Supra Classic 2x4mm > Monitor Audio RS1
I'm not so sure . . . I believe in hifi for life, however I also believe in upgrading as the 'need arises'. I have just had to have my Sumiko cartridge re tiped, SQ now absolutly superb, but the retip has higlighted the basic Rega RB700 tone arm is actualy holding the system back now the cartridge is working at 100%?
So, selling the stop-gap Benz Wood Cartridge will finance a new Audio Mods tone arm. All things being equal, that will be it? . . . Money found from within the existing hifi kit, system optimised with a meaning full change. Essentialy, my signature does not change, sit back and enjoy the music . . . does this break or just bend the rules? If it breakes the rules then so be it, I offer my resignation . . . ??
