The great cd player con..........Your thoughts please!
YEs and it will probably have an amp that is rated under 100W, read articles about amps.
Whats that got to do with the price of fish ?.
Crikey Im posting you a shovel BigH because you may be needing it.
That is just typical of the sort of response you get on this forum and you are an expert of amps are you?
He's just read an article that states any amp below 100W will be clipping even at very low volumes. See the amp for LS50 thread...
Ah I see.

No not at all , but going by your post it appeared that obviously you are, until I read The_Lhcs post.

Given that he has a valve amp, I'd say not.
Now where's that bunker emoticon?

To be fair, what do you expect? You've read ONE article and are taking it as gospel but give us no clue as to who wrote the article or even where to find it so that we can read it for ourselves. That's no better "evidence" than "my mate told me down the pub".

In that case....
1. Take a chill pill and get it out of your nut that peeps are having a go at you.
2. Stop posting drivel 'that you have read' otherwise you will come across as someone who appears to know what he is talking about, even though a fair few of us will know it is total b*****ks.
3. If peeps have a go at you , then you obviously asked for it.
4. Trust me , this place is a stroll in the park compared to others, you have got away lightly Master H.
Hifi is a pretty subjective hobby and I'd say there are no absolutes. I would thus hesitate before saying categorically that one thing is better than another.
I recently auditioned an active Meridian system (DSP 7200) which cost around US$35,000 through Meridian's streamer (Sooloos, I think it's called) which I gather is pretty state-of-the-art. I have to say the sound was very impressive initially - it ticked many hifi boxes, looks great and was a breeze to use. But after 20 minutes, a mate of mine and I were looking at each other and shaking our heads - we both found it tiring to listen for too long. So for me at least, that system is not for me.
Note however that the same could be said of any separates system as well, so my point is that one should always listen for as long as possible before deciding on any system, whether active or passive. The Meridian active system would appeal to many people, I'm sure - and I'm equally sure that there would be those who could put together a separates system for the same money which they thought sounded better than the Meridian. If you like the sound and it's within budget, then buy. If it's an active system you've bought, there's no need to justify it - it's your money and your enjoyment. If it's a passive system of expensive or modestly-priced separates, the same applies. Either way, share your experiences on this forum and hopefully, we can all benefit.
if the quality of cd players don't matter than can anybody explain this

The difference is in the DAC. If you took a digital optical feed out of the 3 players and played it through the same DAC then, malfunction aside, they would sound the same.
Dual post. ?????????????? Sorry about that.
thanks Relocated
like i said before on this site i am not so technically
when buyng the apolo rega i thought when i tooked the digital output of this cd into an analogue input on my receiver than the last one convert the signal
is it so ??? or should you advise me to ad an rega dac between it ???
should this improve my music
