Terrible cracking/popping on USB DAC

I'm using Arcam rDAC.Comp (Spotify) > DAC > Dynaudio bm5a mk2. Terribly popping/cracking happens every now and then when I play as song that has been paused for a while. I get about 0.5s worth of terrible cracking sound.Someone has suggested that my DAC isn't recieving sufficient power from the USB port on my desktop comp.Any more thoughts?
