Terminated speaker cables
How does one connect speaker cables to the RS6s? I've always had bare ends but toying with the idea of plugged ones.
I've looked at the back of the speakers and can't see how they're secured.
Any pointers would be appreciated.

Normal banana plugs?
choose whichever set of terminals you like. (HF or LF)

Get 4mm 'banana' plugs soldered on.
Do they still have red and black plastic 'caps' in place? Pick them out with a very small flat screwdriver or paperclip and reveal the holes the banana plugs go into.
Assuming you aren't bi-wiring (and the bridges are securely in place) choose whichever set of terminals you like. (HF or LF)
Yes they do. I'll have a little pick later.
I might take up the dealers's offer of trying a few mtrs of TQ (probably Blue) and see how they stack up.
Cheers, Chebby
Irrelevant but. Yamaha manual saya banana plugs notapplicable in uk?? I picked out the plaatic caps and they r fine ofcourse.
Isn't that because they are obliged to say that due to some bonkers EU regs? Everyone else in the world manages, but we aren't capable! I'm expecting the audio police any day to confiscate mine...
Let us know how you get on with the new cable. I found a good tweak was to replace the links with speaker cable. It made a noticeable difference with my old mission 772s and I only used QED Silver Anniversary then...

Never hesitate PP especially when there is the opportunity to entice in a vast number of forumites who will, and quite often do, feel the need to spout utter tosh. It sometimes gets quite amusing.
At least you didn't leave the door open for the 'Active' speakers brigade ............... or did I speakk too soon.
Hi,
I maybe being stupid here so my apologies.
Have you tried running the speaker cable up through both terminals by just cutting a longer length of bare wire up through both posts, saves the need for jumpers or plugs.
I tried this after seeing someone here suggest it and was very happy with the results, gave a more open fuller sound at zero cost, if not already doing it it is worth a try.
Good luck.
Yes, but sometime ago.
The main reason for looking at cables is because the dealer offered me the opportunity to home test some TQs.
