Tannoy Mercury M3's any good second hand?

To go with a rotel ra-04 that im going to buy in the coming weeks. If I could get them second hand for the same price of the tannoy mercury f1 custom's should i go for the m3's instead? Thanks

I've got some Tannoy M1s in a bedroom setup and although they sound fine I'd say they are way off the pace compared to some newer speakers. I'd get the F1s if it were my money.

Thanks for the help. Yeah for some reason i think id be happier buying new speakers and a second hand amp rather than the other way round (especially if i can get a rotel ra-04 2nd hand) Perhaps theres some logic to that, perhaps not!

I've got some mint condition Linn Index speakers available on eBay at the moment which would wipe the floor with the Tannoys.
