With the latest software update you can now play content direct from your IOS device.

AirPlay to Sonos now not needed.

Has anyone else had problems using their Kindle after this firmware update. When I start the Sonos app it says it needs updating but when directed to the Amazon app store, it says it is up to date. Is this because the Amazon App Store is not up to date, I take it other people are using combinations of Android and apple controllers OK ?

The newer kindle models are just Android tablets, so the standard sonos app runs fine on them.

The fire and the fire HD can and they make pretty good controllers, especially for the £100 they were before Xmas. 

 

As it turns out there must be a problem with the amazon App Store updater. I have deleted and reinstalled and its working fine now.
