Second X Power Arrives this week
Well after a 2 week wait my second X power arrives this week. Is it sad that i'm so excited i'm finding difficult to get to sleep as I plan what to listen to first?
Got to love Hi Fi ... probably the best hobby in the world
Will you be bi-wiring them as a stereo pair - or will you be running each one in mono?.
When I had two x-powers I tried both - but preferred to have them in mono mode
Next step Mono X's...
Not sad at all, that's what hobbies are for after all. Just don't expect your wife to understand! And the X power is a superb piece of kit. Two are even better.

Think I'm going to Bi Wire in Mono first off but will experiment with Bi Amping. Most people I have spoken to said they found it best in Mono.
I am also getting a Chord Signature digital interconnect to go from the Stream XP to use the upgraded QX DAC in the Pre DAC QX, which have have had for a couple of weeks connected up with Analogue interconnects using the DAC in the Stream XP.
So now I use the Pre DAC QX in AV direct mode for movies but for Hi Fi I can strip out the AV amp using the Stream XP to the Pre DAC QX onto 2 X Powers in Mono. The sound with the one I have is awesome and a country mile ahead of just the AVR400. If it sounds anything like it did in the Demo room at my place I will be a happy chappy.

Got my first X Power before Christmas and already beginning to think how a second one will further improve the sound!
