Thanks cno, so it appears there are fomula flying about. No wonder that chaps fell asleep with that music he is playing.

No rules or set formulas. The size of room, its acoustics will determine how a system will sound. Try and build a system around your room and not the other way round.
If your room is reflective then try and avoid a system that provokes harshness.
