Reviews
If memory serves me well, WHFI also reviewd the Arcam A28 in another group test, about 4 years ago. They paired it with Arcams CD37 and Focal 816 floorstanders and they only gave it 3 stars, although can't recall exact comments.
I think a couple or three years ago they reviewed Creek Destiny CDP, alongside Leema Stream...
OK thanks for that info. I must admit I have not read Whathifi for years as I have a hifi system and only have started looking to upgrade in the last week or so. Looking on this site, I see no Arcam, Creek or Musical Fid. amps but there are 6 Mission, just looks a bit unbalanced to me.
Eh? Mission don't make amps.
Don't they? They are listed under Cyrus here.

Entirely seperate entities for many years now.
OK thanks did not realise they had split. Anyway Cyrus has 6.
If you look under "View by brands", regardless of whether it's under amps, speakers, CDPs, it is all the same manufacturers listed.
It is up to each company which models they submit for review. (Or whether they submit any at all.)
WHF has reviewed many Arcam items. (Including conventional stereo seperates and even tuners.)
There is a dearth of Arcam stereo amplifier reviews on the website (although I know I have seen them in system tests in the printed mag). Supertest and group test reviews don't get featured here though.
An example... Rega RS3 speakers have been reviewed - individually and in the context of whole system reviews - a few times in the magazine. Still no website review of them though.
Have the Rega RS1s ever been reviewed?
Also years ago I seem to remember WHF reviewed old systems against new systems, do they still these comparisons, having been out of hifi buying for 18 years I was expecting the new cd players to be much better from what I understand that does not seem to be so.
I had a look at reviews by brands and found Creek and there is am reviewed, yet if you look under amps Creek is not listed, think that should be corrected.
Have the Rega RS1s ever been reviewed?
Yes, at least once (and favourably too), in an annual 'same make' system test. The Rega system was rated as a whole and the individual components were assessed too.
I'm fairly new to this site but I was surprised that WHF has not reviewed any ArCam or Creek amps in the last few years, any reason for this, is it to do with advertising?
Everything, Arcam don't advertise nearly enough.
Not, of course, that advertising spend, or lack thereof, has anything to do with our review selection policy. Never has, never will.
If you have evidence to the contrary we would, as ever, be amused to hear it...
Well I know this guy from Cyrus right, and he told me that..........no....no...it can't be....but I saw you.....dieeeeeeeee...ack...ackkk........
So about the usual level of 'evidence', then...
Andrew something you may want to look into on this site when you click on reviews and Amps and then Brands, Creek does show up in the dropdown menu but there is a Creek amp reviewed but you have to go reviews by brand to find it. This also seems to be the case for Focal speakers.
Any Musical Fid. amp reviews coming up?
Also I see Creek have a £500 amp coming out.

WHFI had a Group test in the June edition which included the Arcam A18 and CD17. It was put up against Rega Brio-R and Apollo-R, Cyrus 6A & CD6SE2, Roksan Kandy K2 amp and CDP. The one puzzling thing was the next page they found suitable speakers for each of the components... except the Arcam duo wasn't featured in this particular section. Disappointed? yes.
Leema Pulse MKII-S; Naim CD5i MKII; Denon TU-260L MKII; MA RS6 speakers; Pro-ject Xpression 1; loads of different cables...
