I listened to some of the ProAc the studio 110 and the studio 115 but did not find them satisfying. Cant find the old studio 100 here which is supposed to be very good. The D1 and D2 are just way to expensive for me.
Also heard the KEF R300 and liked that alot, heard it with the exposure 2010s2, 3010S2, roksan K2, M2 and the MF 3i and 6i....The K2 and M3i both sounded good with those speakers but the M2 and M6i put them into a different place. Unfortunately they are over (way over) my budget.....naturally....lol
The Kef sounded a bit on the bright side with the exposure...., the Roksan and MF seemed smoother
What do you think of the Marantz Pearl Lite with the Kef? Does it have enough current to make it ? Would the new Cambridge 651 or 851 be a better match. The shops that carry Marantz and Cambridge dont carry the Kef brand so it is difficult to do side by side comparisons that is why I am seeking other opinions and advice.
Not heard the Pearl Lite but did have a dem of the 8003 (roughly the same price point) and it did sound smooth, and if you don't like a sound with an edge, then look at entry-level Spendors. I like the Spendors in some ways, although they sound a little dark for my taste. Failing that look at Dynaudio DM2/6 with the Marantz.
