Please advice speakers for Marantz PM62 amp.

Hello! 

Recently I purchased Marantz PM-62 amplifier and I am looking for decent speakers for a not very huge amount of money Currently I have these interesting vintage speakers - Hennel TS 9009, and they were made in W. Germany back in 1979. http://www.hifi-wiki.de/index.php/Hans_G._Hennel_TS_9009. They are very good in smaller room, but my living room is quite large, and the sound just fade with these ones.. 

At what specifications I should look? Does it necessary to purchase floorstanding speakers, or it will be ok smaller ones but on a speaker stand? Because I really hate those giant floorstanders.
