Olive 4HD
I am palling to upgrade my current digital audio system. I use popcorn c-200 + Rega Dac + Naim Nait XS and want to purchase Olive 4HD as main source of my digital music. The question which I have is how good the built in Dac of Olive 4HD is ? Should I use Olive 4HD alone ( as source and Dac ) or I need to hook the Olive in the Raga Dac ? Which one will give me better quality - Olive 4HD alone or Olive HD + Rega Dac ?
I started with using the dac in the olive and analogue in to my xpd qx. Now I take the digital out of the olive and us the qx dac in my amp.
I feel I get more detail this way round but there's not much in it to my ears. Either way it sounds great.

Here is the plan: don't sell your Rega DAC yet. Do a comparison (Olive vs. Olive + Rega). For proper testing: ask a significant other to swap without you knowing/seeing what you're listening to.
