My Arcam CD73 has a little word that pops up on the display with certain cds that says "over". It remains on for the duration of the disk. I was sure this meant that it was oversampling...but why would it oversample disk one of a set and then not disk two? This has happend on a couple of occasions...infact it tends to oversample lesser quality cds such as NOW cds (don't ask) and Top Gear Cds (don't ask either!). Is this normal...or is it a fault? Could anybody explain why it oversamples disks? Many thanks and a happy 2008!

No fault, it just means that the 'calendar' display of track numbers

only goes up to 20 and any discs with more that that number of tracks - such as Now! compilations - just trigger an 'over' flag to indicate there are more tracks than the display can show.
