NAD 352 vs Marantz PM7001

Will be pairing one of the above with the Marantz CD6001 and either B&W 602 S3, or the 685, depending what can be found in the sales.

All music genres really, except for classical, but would like some warmth to the sound.

 Anyone compared the two?

Marantz are good but to some ears they sound mechanical. Power-wise both amps would be identical, but I guess NAD will have a slight advantage, which you will need to get these speakers sing.

But another line of thought is: Marantz + Marantz will have a better synergy.

Have you done any listening? I'd recommend one round of listening, even one hour or so, will be enough for you to decide. Just carry your favorite CDs with you.
