My first Hi-Fi system doesnt sound quite right
If I ever had the terrible misfortune of meeting you I might be bored into temptation into doing just that, but until then I can just shrug off your insolence, little one. Please begone.
And until you shrug off your disrespect, condescension and derision like your direct post to tariq, I'll never have respect for the likes of you.
I think I can cope.
To Altruistic, yes, the buying blind element is a risk. You either read up and get as much info and then go for it or run the risk of dissatisfaction.
The classic ZX Spectrum and Commodore Vic 20 game Manic Miner was also extremely irritating. Go figure.
Yes unfortunately bought without auditioning, at least not the whole system together. I tried to gather from the internet what could work for me and went for it.I bought the roksan from a lad who was upgrading, listened to it in his apartment. The tannoys from a reseller at a reasonable price, and they sounded real good with his not so new equipment. The Audiolab m-dac purely based on reviews...
I live in Istanbul Turkey by the way, prices here are putrageous, usually almost double what you pay:(

Hello Tariqv, where do you live and what made you buy this particular setup in the first place, please?
Think he bought without auditioning, which is a lot of the problem.
