MEZZO bookshelf or floor standing

Hey I'm looking to upgrade from my Cambridge Audio S70's to Morduant Short Mezzo 1 with sub or Morduant Short Mezzo 6. Will the Mezzo 1s with a mid-range sub cut the mustard when compared with the S70? Will this be a signficant imrpvoement in sound qualty? I'm currently paring with 540A. My setup is with a computer, me sitting near the speakers.
