Btw, you can look at the following whichever you like - Rick recommends/mentions products from manufacturers that he doesn't deal with, Rick recommends/mentions dealers that he has no connection with, Rick recommends/suggests 'save your time and your money', etc.

Thankyou for your suggestion.
I did look into the SCM11's and wondered if they would be a good match, seems that they do thrive on power, of which my power amp has in heaps. I notice that they come up for sale regularly second hand as they are like the 685's, an older but multi award winning speaker.
I would still like the try the LS50's though, it's sometimes difficult to know unless you hear speakers for yourself, KEF have certainly marketed them very well, as they did with the Q300's which I didn't rate compared to the 685's.

Yes, the Rotel's quantity, quality of power and overall performance enables the RB-991 power amplifier to work a treat with SCM11 monitors 
Anyway, in addition to hearing the 50's please also try listening to a pair 11 monitors
