I like the Kef R300 and R500. Music symfonic metal and pop. But in my room i can place the speakers 4o cm from the walls. Isn't the R300 then the better choice? Kef says the R500 must at 1 metre from the walls.
Standmounts are generally better when closer to walls than floorstanders.

Yes that is true, what are your walls made off? Are they solid, brick, breeze block, concrete, plaster board, wood, or cardboard?
Floors make a big difference too, I am lucky and have a solid brick floor which makes for wonderfully tight base.
You'll need to experiement as my RS6s are fine 12" from wall.

Walls are brick and wooden floor.
I would go for the R300s then.
Yes; i thought also. I have had the MA Rx6. Overblown bass in my room. For the R300 i need a pair of speakerstands. Which will be fine?
I would look at the Atacama Duo 6 which are about £60, check the height you want the tweeters about the same height as your ears.
