It's like a veil has been lifted. excellent!  I had posted before about the upper mids and highs sounding a bit harsh but now they are nice and clear, i can hear the transients whereas snares and hats just didn't sound natural and i was having to use room correction to listen to music.

The definition and detail on the bass is better too, i thought it was a bit warm and smooth before which i had put down to the amp but it sounds cleaner now, and deeper and there's a punch and weight that was missing before. So the cable does seem to have given me the resolution that i was missing; the Dalis sound fantastic now and music just projects effortlessly. Hearing stuff on tracks i've listened to countless times that i didn't even know were on the recording tells me this is not a placebo! talk to the hand

Total cost was £15 for a significant improvement so there ya are. If anyone is wondering about this cable it is amazing imho. I know van damme cause i've used their studio cables for years but this is the first time i've heard such a substantial improvement in what i'm listening to.

Upgraded from 4mm Gale XL315 to 2.5mm, banana plugs to the speakers but bare wire to the amp until i get some spades.

Agreed.  It is a GOOD cable and is relatively cheap.  I used it before and is comparable to my existing Chord Odyssy 4 thought Van Damme lacks a little bit of highs but not too far.

That chord odyssey is £42 pm, almost 20x what i paid! I wanted to see if the cable was a weak link before upgrading anything else, i didn't expect it to make that much of a difference despite what i'd read but it does seem to have been the source of my problem.

I keep posting in this forum; i think this maybe belongs in Accessories? But anyway, great cable! party time!

Edit: I was looking at the biwire chord odyssey. shockedops:

It's strange - I once 'upgraded' (or in fact downgraded as it was cheaper, but still neater and highly rated - I had been very sceptical about cables up to this point anyway...) to the studio blue stuff and it was like having a duvet dumped on my speakers. The DIY Cat5 cables I used before were far better. Mains cables and filtering helped, but I only really got the sound I wanted when I switched to Chord, which has been a huge improvement. Guess it really is down to the rest of the system! puzzled

Can't comment on the van damme blue, maybe you downgraded too far, but the LC OFC cable is at least as good if not better than my QED Revelation and Atlas Hyper, I did the same thing and thought for a cable at less than a third of the cost it more than holds its own.

I went for the 4mm, I certainly won't be spending anymore on speaker cables,I read many threads on here after I bought some QED Revelation so bought some VD and some very cheap Hyper just to see if there was any difference.

I would feel any slight difference would probably be personal preference and highly subjective but glad th OP is happy with his choice.

I chatted with a guy in the store i bought the cable from and he'd upgraded to the blue but heard no discernible difference from the cable he was using. I think maybe i'm hearing an improvement cause the hifi is their best and is meant to compare to cable costing many times more which Inter_Voices' post seems to bear out.

All i can say is i'm hearing more of the music than the speaker now. I'm using a linear phase eq but it's the same curve i was using previously with a few tweaks but i can hear those adjustments in effect much more easily now. It's quite surreal listening to tracks i know really well but hearing them in a new light and i've listened to them on a lot of different systems but not heard detail i'm hearing now. I'm pretty amazed at the difference a cable can make! excellent!

It's meant for critical monitoring so it ought to be good but the jump in quality is great, it was a nice system upgrade.

Where did you get the cable from if it is not a secret?

I am trying to get 15meters x2.5mm LC-OFC online and I can't find a seller.

Anybody know a website?

I bought my Van Damme cable from Amazon, great price and sellers you can trust. I opted for the 2.5mm, I couldn't see any point in getting the 4mm if I'm only using 2m runs. I totally agree with the OP about a veil being lifted. Prior to the Van Damme I was using mains cables (earth wire and live wire), apparently I thought that was a good idea at the time  rolling on the floor laughing

There are actually technical reasons why solid conductor twin and earth could sound better than stranded speaker cable, so don't be too quick to dismiss it.
