Advice appreciated. After hours of looking online, deciphering whether the shelf in the picture was the height needed, etc., the only unit that me and the missus can agree on is, amazingly, fairly cheap - £180. However, it only has a centre shelf with space below and the glass top. I need a shelf for my receiver and amp (so at least 90cm wide) and then another for my cdp and dvdp). On top I will have Sky box and centre speaker - that's not a problem. Could I place the two amps on the carpet, under the centre shelf. Is the placement of amps on solid, shiny, level surfaces that important?

Check out hifiracks.co.uk - they make them bespoke. I have one and it's excellent.

Thanks for that Joel. What sort of price are we talking, is it silly money? I don't mind going up to £500.

Thanks Hook. I like Atacama but the missus doesn't. The wooden bespoke style is the way forward. In fact I just emailed a little design! I will send pictures once I'm up and running (probably after Christmas now).
