The first link has 2 cds and then 3rd down a LP.
Are some LPs being produced by specialist labels rather than the original label?
Is what it seems like... I think there is something fishy regardering this subject...
Rega RP3 / Goldring 1012gx > Rega Fono MM V2
Synology DS213 > QED Performance USB > Rega DAC > QED Performance RCA
Pathos Classic One > Inakustik LS 1102 cable > Dynaudio Excite X12 and some times BK XLS200 MK II
SBT > G&BL teflon line RCA > NAD 3020i > Supra Classic 2x4mm > Monitor Audio RS1
My low-fi Odesssy continues with a purchase of the excellent Logitech UE Boombox, Superb travel speaker paired with my ipad mini. Result !
Enjoying tunes ....... All the time
Hi Fi = Mac Book Pro - Monitor Audio WS100
HC = iphone + headphones
The ONLY thing i want from LOGITECH is DISTANCE!!!! As they ended the SBT production and didn't manage a worthy replacement!
Great product. Just too niche probably?
Maybe to complex to work with, or a faulty design... To much replacements!
Went for the excellent Monitor Audio WS100 in the end . Not exactly low Fi at all . just bloody good . awesome at you desk and great when used as background music. Good choice . an Active design I believe
when I was demoing hi fi, last year, i've demo Epos speakers with Creek amps and the guy that was doing the demo played a CD from Chris Jones Roadhouses & automobiles, he is a country music singer, i'm not to much in country, as it is not my cup of tea, but when i left the demo i went to buy the CD!
Chris Jones is a wonderfull artist and the cd is mastered suberbly!!! It is quite an acoustic performance with a great beeeeeep bass!
I ordered the CD and it arrived this morning. Just gave it a first spin. Holy bowel motion! It's just brilliant! Hours of hifi satisfaction ahead...
Thanks, Outlaw. I owe you one (even though you called me dog ) !
SORRY DocG !!!
But i'm happy that you liked it! It's a hell of a record, and "No Sanctuary Here" is the corollary...! It's a window shaking song!
Do you ear the crickets in "Roadhouses & Automobiles" ?
If you don't is time to upgrade...!
I didn't pay attention to that particular detail yet.
Even if I could hear the crickets, they won't keep me from buying a proper hifi system!
Oh yes, I can! But as I said, they won't stop me!
Oh for goodness sake!
After reading the above I played the YouTube version of the title track (set to 480 quality) on my laptop to my Bluetooth speaker (Logitech Mini Boombox) and heard the crickets - very clearly - just before Chris Jones started singing.
Heck, I can even hear them faintly if I listen closely to the laptop's internal speaker!
Marantz M-CR603 + AirPlay • Rega R3 loudspeakers • iPhone 5 • iMac • Apple Airport Extreme 802.11n • Apple iPad Mini • Panasonic TX-L32D25B • Sony BDP-S390 • Ruark Audio R1 Deluxe • Humax HDR-Fox T2
Now you ruined it, Chebby! I wanted to listen for it on my car "hifi" tomorrow! Can't beat a laptop speaker...
But do you like the album? I do!
Didn't sound like my kind of music from the few seconds it took to pass to the 'cricket test'.
Can't beat a laptop speaker...
You can. That's why I bought the Logitech Mini Boombox. (Tucks in nicely in my laptop bag.)
