Help needed?

Hiya, - I'm looking to move house soon and am interested in upgrading my entire kit (hifi & av) over the next year or so (depending on the cost!). Trouble is I really don't like salespeople, I know they've got a job top do but I'm fairly easily convinced and have made some bad buys in the past (no names - I'm new at this but have read the T's & C's).Can anyone suggest a decent dealer or some way of talking to the manufacturers without having the 'heavy' salesperson looking over my shoulder?

I'm London based but can travel if need be?
