From early meridian to later merdian or other brand?
I have had excellent service from a 19 year old meridian 207 pro cd but it looks at last that is it is going wrong and may well be unrepairable. On the assumption that I still want to hold on to my m30 active speakers and maintain a pre-amp ability for analogue input like lp and line in, any suggestions on replacements to give me the same quality? I know that hifi technology has moved on but should I stick with meridian (G07 and G01 pre-amp) or look at alternatives. I have read rave reviews about naim kit but it seems better suited to pop, rock and jazz whereas I am strictly classical (gramophone subscriber). Any ideas gratefully received. The new kit must be well made and have longevity, just like the meridian still is. I would not want to change or upgrade it for another 20 years, more interested in the music than the technology. Thanks for any ideas. Mark
