Found a perfect partner.

After many tedious weeks of searching for a perfect amp; I think I have found one. Just tested it at home today after buying it for £40.00, the JVC A-X400 from 70s sounds, in my opinion and through some technics headphones, absolutly fantastic. It provides the rich tonal qualities that were lacking from the Rotel RA-04 andit also allows me to tailor the sound via its 7 sea equaliser setings. Compared to anything else, my mini JVC MX-J850R included, it is miles ahead.
On the back however, it says speakers 1+2=16ohms and 1 or 2 = 8ohms. Is this refering to each channel. For example would a normal stereo set up have to use two 8 ohm speakers or 4 ohm speakers. And could I use 6ohm speakers sometimes? Thanks.
