Turntables and LPs
I'm a total muppet when trying to buy a suitable receiver for a room approx 10meters X 6meters and I've been looking at PYLE390au because I require
a four speaker system.
I've been told by various pundits to seek the following . An amp rated at 8ohms impedance with minimum 120 watts RMS ( rms is important )
2 sets of speaker outputs A and B switchable ( either A on or B on or both A and B on )
Micrphone inputs 1 ok but 2 preferred with separate Vol and Tone controls
Selectable ininputs for CD , AUX, MIC etc
Just bought the cambridge azure 651a amp & currently running it in after my Arcam AV50 died a death after 18 faithful years. I have it hooked up to my Kef Q5 speakers. I would like any feedback on this amp from people out there & how they feel about its performance.

I have noticed so many questions regarding cables. Why would this be.. Are people just trying to sabotage or rubbish this forum, or are people disappointed with thier new HIFI. Cause does not seem like coincidence? Too many cables topics.
I am looking to comect the pre-outs for L/R fronts from my Denon AV amp to a stereo integrated amp.
There are wo questions that I want to check before doing something that may cause any problems:
1. presumably the connection is simply from the front L/R pre-outs to any of the available L/R RCA inputs on the amp (e.g. aux 1);
I have searched but I cannot find any posts which compares the Kef R300 against B&Ws 685 S2. I would really welcome some opinions please.
many on this forum have stated that cables only need to adhere to basic design rules and hence a low cost. cables that are in effect a length of wire with a plug on either end should only ever meet certain requirments and therefore should not cost to much, as there is no advantage/need for exotic, expensive designs. therefore what are your views regarding cables with filters attached ?
I just replaced a buggy Audio Analogue Paganini 24/192, that had a very good sound a very terrible transport by a Rega Apollo-R. I'm really pleased by the way that new little thing plays music.
Now, the road ahead is a Rega DAC, to further improve cd playback, but also to use with my small Revo Superconnect radio, and USB conversion too. The Rega DAC is my choice and I don't seek alternatives advice.
