wharfedale diamond 121 speakers.

I don't want too much bass that the house shakes but I'd like more bass than what I'm getting at the moment. The problem is I don't know if 50 watts is too little or 150 watts far too much?

Leema Elements Dac - a fine preamp too!

Hi all,

So as a lot of you will no doubt have read in various posts, I kinda love my A28 amp and thought I would be keeping it for quite some time.

However after a bit of tweaking, I've turned the A28 into a power amp of sorts by bypassing the internal preamp using the av inputs and fixing the volume in 'proc' mode using the Leema as the preamp.

Has anyone heard these speakers and if so, what did you think of them.

I know What Hi-Fi gave them 5 stars.....

center for pm6004

hi

my goal is to compkete a nice small ssytem with the pm6004, i allready have 2b&wm1's ,but many have suggested to replace them and buy bookshelfs , BX2's, zensor1, kefQ300 or r100.

but i'm thinking getting a center, maybe a secondhand b&w 800 diamond series. and all that without replacing my amp, is it possible?

Hi Fi FOR NEW OFFICE

Hi everyone,

Havent been here in  a while. Just recently set up an office in Nigeria and wanted a nice hifi system for my office. I would like a lot of clarity and good bass at low volumes.

The size of the office is about 14ft by 14ft. I would also like to point out that floor standers arent my number one choice as i believe they would distort the aesthetics of the office however, if they would provide the low end bass i require, then so be it.

Finally, my budget is a maximum of 1,000 pounds.

Thanks in advance.

Marantz MCR603 and wireless multiroom options

Hi All,

I'm currently looking into buying an MCR603 but not sure about the possibility of connecting-up a wireless speaker to it as part of a multiroom set-up.

Bluetooth (using Marantz's adaptor) is un-likely to work very well as there will be no line of site between the two units (although the proximity will be < 10m).

So, I was looking at Airplay-enabled speakers and also found that the MCR603 supports "Party Mode".

In light of the above, my questions are:

1. Does the MCR603 support using an airplay connection to a wireless speaker as an output?

Used Roksan K2 CD Player

Hello, I already have the Roksan K2 integrated amp which is about a year old, I've been offered a K2 CD player, it's around 3 years old & is is good condition apart from light scratches on the top which doesn’t show when in a rack - The guy selling needs some money sharpish & I can get it for around £400 - I've knocked him down because of the slight marks on the top. The learning remote is unused as he has the K2 Amp also - It sounds fine & has no problems loading & playing.

Some new gear, can't say I'm impressed

Yesterday I took delivery of a Denon DRAN5 and some Wharfedale Diamond 121 speakers, I've connected them together using 1.5mm speaker cable.

At low volumes everything seems ok, but once you get to a volume of 40 sounds start to distort, I'm guessing the volume goes up to 60. The speakers should be more than capable of dealing with the power output from the Denon.

Can anyone tell me if what I'm experiencing is normal?

WHAT YOU KIDDING ME!!

Has any one listened to a boston acoustics speaker recently..?  I read a review about the M340 & how good it was & all that. The review was really convincing. I said to myself here we go again another review of just another  product... Some how I could never get it out of my mind.. Went to have a listen & ended up buying them without evening planing to buy speakers in the first place.

I compared them with 5 different speakers in the shop, but in terms of performance none of them were even close.

Need your advice for Graphon Diablo

Is it proper for B&W speakers? Does it match 802D(or 804D) in a room of 5*6 ?
