Not too sure who you're suggesting has a word with whom about what, but for the record 'a load of publications' = 2.

Not literally, I’m sure he’s got a decent camera though. Yes, a load may be over stating it…I thought it was more than two, I know C&YPN has gone.
Do you actually sell many in this 'black'? The natural oak finish is wonderful by the way.
It may surprise you to know that the split between Oak and Black is 55/45 in favour of Black.
Many thanks Richard. Yes it does indeed surprise me. Sods law they take longer to produce eh?

Myself, I blame unimaginative PR people – I mean, you have a set of speakers available in high-gloss red, and all you can supply is two pictures in black, grilles on and grilles off? Missed opportunity, if you ask me...
The Quad website didn't have anything either. The opening page did have something in a non-gloss darkish red finish that wasn't horrendous.

Takes the same amount of time as the oak coz the cabinets are already painted.
I think that was about 18 months ago.
Changed you production method then?
When I bought my EB2's you said it was good I chose natural oak as they could be produced faster.
Where you staining the cabinets yourself originally?
The EBs are still done that way coz cabinet companies don't want to make the composite boards that are used. I have to do them. It's only the new ERs that come in finished coz they're made from MDF so cabinet companies are happy to make them.
Jobs with all the work taken out!!. There you go.
Hi all -
I posted my post about a month ago and the emails were bouncing (and couldn't reach him via phone call either). So I got worried and did this post. Given that paypal does not refund money past a certain date, I got really worried that I threw away my 10%.
Richard has since reached out to me privately via email, and let me know it's going to take a bit longer (so it's about 7 Months and counting now). I think I saw another thread that of someone waiting 13+ months on an order. So I guess that's the actual delivery time from deposit. I'll wait a little longer now. I SO WISH the web site is updated to be more realistic that there is around a 1 year wait list time, rather than a 3 month time that I expected. Or a regular email letting me know where I am on the wait list.
I totally support what Richard is doing. He's a 1-man shop doing everything, trying to keep the price down, and keep construction local in the UK. So I will wait and do my part in saying what a great set of speakers he's doing.
On another note, I emailed Richard again to ask how to baby-proof my EB2 speakers. I have a little one now in the house. Can I drill some screws into the base of my EB2s to mount them?
I hope Richard is going to punish me and lengthen my wait time to 2 years ops: for starting the thread,
