I often find it difficult to understand western classic orchestra, in my cd shelf, this kind of cd are the least to listen to.Somehow I just can not know what music is expressing,  it can not evoke me any feeling. I want to know in UK, do you usually listen to such kind of music? It is a kind of cultural essence ,so do we must to know some background knowledge before we enjoy it ? For example , what happened when the composer composed the music, etc?

Bejing opera is famous, but I dont like it at all. What I always listen is pop, voilin, folk song ,jazz.......

What cd do you  usually listen to? How can I appreciate the classic orchestra? What is the ture value of these music?

I wouldn't worry about it. There are many people in the UK that don't like classical music. I hasten to add that I am not one of them.
