Covers for Floorstanders

In a few words, what were you trying to say?
My wife actually made me half a pair of covers (the right one) to help prevent sunlight affecting the wood veneer on my CM8s. So far no sign of the other half of the pair.

I will add to this as the poster has obviously been put off by the annoying "I dont understand disabling rich text / html / confusing and complicating / where has all my post disappeared to / I am now really frustrated as it took me so long to type / nevermind I will try agian / now Im really fed up because it has done it twice now / think I will give up and join another forum that is alot easier to post on site."
Please, please, please WHF - can you just make it easy for old timers and new posters just to post something nice and simple.

I have been scouring ebay for about 6 years now for some covers for my floorstanders - Mission 752 Freedoms. In fact, my son put his foot through a mid bass driver about three years ago and I was lucky enough to buy a second hand one off fleabay recently after looking for those three years. i dont want this to happen again with son no 2 !
They have obviously stopped making them and I phoned Mission to see if they had spares but to no avail.
Do not suppose anyone has any lying around ??? Or any 2nd hand specialist that might do this sort of thing ? I will gladly pay ?

I have just bought a pair of large floostanders and I was wondering whether you could buy off the shelf covers for them as they seem vulnerable to damage from children., dogs or any body just walking by with anything pointed in their hand. The speakers are Q Acoustics 2050i. I just want to cover where the speaker grills are with say a 1 inch overlap. I have now decided ,with my daughter's sewing machine help, to make my own with some black fabric, like a long square tea cosy. the front would include a piece of hardboard with 1/2 inch of foam glued to it. We have a very good shop in Blackpool which sells all sorts of foam and fabrics. This will be the cheapest option.

752s remain about the only Mission speaker I've never owned! I've post-it-noted your username on the side of my monitor- if I see a set anywhere I'll endeavour to let you know!

I was wondering if any of the other models grills would fit them ? I very much doubt it though.
Hi, You could just change the fabric yourself ? some on ebay from germany for about £18 will do the job nicely.
