CD Player vs CD on DVD / Blu-Ray
OK - apologies in advance if the answer to this is "bleedin' obvious" to most people on this forum ...
Can someone explain to me what the difference is between having a dedicated CD player in your audio setup, and using your DVD or Blu-Ray player to play your CDs through the Surround Amp / Receiver. I am not really dissatisfied with how the CDs sound using my existing equipment - do I need to go to the expense of an additional CD player?
Particularly as music is more often than not played from versions ripped to hard disk or iPod now anyway.
