COULD YOU PLEASE RECOMMEND A SUITABLE BI-WIRE SPEEKER CABLE FOR HIGH END SYSTEM? IS QED SILVER ANNAVERSAY CABLE SUITABLE FOR HIGH END SYSTEM?
ummm what's the system?
Audio Editor, Gramophone
Bush midi system...yes QED will be fine.
My Hi End system is as follows:
PRIMARE CD31, PRIMARE PRE30 AMP AND PRIMARE A31.2 POWER AMP.
The loud speekers are DALI MENTOR 2.
If I remember correctly, Andy Clough uses these cables on his Primare amplification and B&W 805 setup, so they can't be that bad.
Naim CD5 XS with Flatcap 2, Audio Research SP16L, Bryston 3B SST, Spendor D7, cables from Audience, ASI and Kimber
Yes, the QED will be more than adequate for that system.
QED!......I'll say nothing!
Hey, I only said it'd be adequate for that system. If it were me, and I had to have the Primare system, I'd be thinking Chord Odyssey or Epic.
I was thinking about using Chord Epic bi-wire for my system, as the reviews in WHFSAV Magazine gave it 5 stars. Do you think there will be a major improvement on sound and overall quality of the music compared to Qed Silver annaversary Bi-wire?
Rolando what sort of music do you play?
Darn, I have QED Silver Anniversary XT bi-wire, bi-amping my front 3 speakers, should I upgrade it for the front pair? Is it letting the side down?
JVC DLA-HD1 -- OPPO BDP83 -- ARCAM AVR600 -- DALI Helicon 800 Mk1 -- BK Monoliths FF and DF
Not unless you have a listen and are convinced they sound better, no.
Thanks. Am going to be auditioning the Cyrus Discmaster 8.0qx and probably an Arcam 137 shortly. Need to make sure I'm doing what I need to do to give them the best chance.
Appreciate the advice. Thanks Andrew.
