Best turntable for £800?
I'm looking to replace my now ancient Dual 505-2 turntable with a new sparkly one!!! I have around £800 to spend and am unsure which to go for. I looked at the Project Perspective which has had good reviews, but would appreciate anyone's help as I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to Hi-Fi. I've got a Gold Aero DB-45 phono stage which has a separate power supply, a NAD 350 amp and Wharfdeale Diamond 8.3 speakers. I bought a Project Debut SB which has a built-in phono stage, recently. Plugged it in and did a like-for-like with the Dual. This really emphasised for me just how good the Gold Aero must be because the Project deck sounded like rubbish next to my old Dual. I therefore thought I'd throw a reasonable amount of money at a mid-range deck to move the sound onto the next level. I listen mainly to Jazz, but also some rock indie etc too, so to all those hi-fi buffs out there - I would really appreciate your advice!
