Best set-up for music DVDs or Blue-ray

In addition to regular TV, I like to watch and listen to classical music DVDs or Blue-ray.  I'd like advice about the best set-up for doing this.  I don't want a full cinema surround-sound, but maybe a TV plus centre speaker, plus stereo and maybe a sub-woofer would do.
